The Collymore Atelier and Bellevue Arts Museum are pleased to present Vice Versa, which features oil paintings in the Impressionist style from up-and-coming atelier artists Veronique Bajzik and Spencer Gordon. Both are currently honing their skills in the Emerging Artist Program at the Collymore Atelier, where they are guided by acclaimed French Impressionist oil painter Valerie Collymore.
Opening Reception is Saturday, May 5th, starting at 2pm.
The work of fellow artist Veronique Bajzik (@veroniquebajzik) will also be on display.
There will also be a Closing Reception during Building 30's Open House on June 2nd at 12pm.
The first part of Spencer Gordon's most recent collection of oil paintings "Claviers ｜Provence in Paint" will be on display at the SPACE Gallery in Building 30 (Magnusen Park) this summer from May 3rd through June 2nd. It features 10 small works and is a further expansion on his 2016 collection. The second portion will be on display in the Community Education Gallery at Bellevue Arts Museum later in June.
Spencer Gordon’s debut gallery exhibit “Claviers: Childhood en Provence” (shown under the pseudonym Alexander Sapoznick) opened April 2nd, 2016 at the Fountainhead Gallery in Seattle. This collection contains 7 oil paintings, and was on display through May 2nd, 2016 along with the work of fellow artist Valerie Collymore. All works from this collection were sold during the gallery show and are now in private collections.
